AHTRAVELSNYC is owned and operated by me, Ayesha Humphrey, as an independent, solo travel agent. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect from clients and website visitors, how I use it, who I share it with, and the choices available to clients.
This Privacy Policy applies to www.ahtravelsnyc.com, my booking and travel-planning services, and communications with me by email, telephone, online form, text message, or in person.

Payment information may include the cardholder name, billing address, and card details used to pay for a booking or service fee. Card details are entered with and processed by the applicable travel supplier or payment processor. I do not store complete payment card details.

I may collect the content of emails, text messages, completed forms, and notes from telephone or in-person conversations.
Website Information
The website platform may collect basic usage information, such as browser type, device information, pages viewed, approximate location, referring website, and general website activity.
I collect sensitive information, including passport details, dates of birth, health information, and accessibility information, only when it is needed to make or service a booking. Providing this information is voluntary. However, a booking may not be completed or properly serviced without information required by a travel supplier, destination authority, insurer, or other service provider.

I collect personal information:
- Directly from a client when the client requests a quote, makes a booking, completes a form, or communicates with me
- From a travel supplier or host agency in connection with a booking
- Automatically from the website through standard website usage information and cookies
- From another person who is arranging travel on a client’s behalf, when authorized to provide the information
4. How I Use Personal Information
I use personal information to:
- Prepare travel quotes and plan trips
- Make, confirm, amend, and service bookings with travel suppliers on a client’s behalf
- Communicate about a trip, including confirmations, documents, updates, schedule changes, and travel notices
- Meet travel supplier, host agency, legal, regulatory, and record-keeping requirements
- Provide travel insurance information and process an insurance request when a client elects to purchase insurance
- Issue and administer promotional rewards, including a $50 e-gift card offered after a client has booked and completed a trip
- Protect against fraud, unauthorized activity, and misuse
- Maintain accurate business and booking records
- Respond to questions, requests, and complaints
- Improve the functionality and general performance of the website
I do not sell client personal information. I do not use client personal information for third-party advertising.
5. Who I Share Personal Information With
I may share personal information as needed to arrange, confirm, service, or administer a trip with:
- Travel suppliers, including cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, airlines, and other travel providers
- Travel insurance providers when a client elects to purchase insurance or requests an insurance quote
- My host agency and its affiliated booking systems
- Payment processors and financial institutions needed to process payments
- Website, technology, and communication service providers that support my business
- Professional advisers, government agencies, law enforcement, courts, or other authorities when disclosure is required or permitted by law
These recipients may be located outside a client’s home state or country, including outside the United States. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy policies and practices.
I may also disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of AHTRAVELSNYC, a client, a travel supplier, or another person.
6. Cookies and Website Data
The website may use cookies and similar technologies so the site can function properly and so I can understand basic website usage. Cookies may help remember preferences, support website security, and provide general information about website activity.
A visitor may adjust browser settings to refuse or limit cookies. Some parts of the website may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

I keep client information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, administer bookings, meet travel supplier and host agency requirements, satisfy legal and record-keeping obligations, respond to requests, and resolve disputes.
When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, I will delete it or securely dispose of it when reasonably practicable. Travel suppliers, host agencies, and payment processors may retain booking and payment records under their own policies and legal requirements.

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including limiting access to information and using reputable travel suppliers, service providers, booking systems, and payment platforms.
No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure. I cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.
9. Client Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and legitimate business requirements, a client may contact me to:
- Ask to see the personal information I hold about the client
- Ask me to correct or update inaccurate information
- Ask for a copy of the client’s personal information
- Ask me to delete personal information that I am not required to retain
- Ask me to stop sending marketing or promotional emails
Some requests may be limited by travel supplier requirements, host agency requirements, payment and booking records, legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, or other legitimate business purposes.

10. Children
My services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
When a booking includes a minor, the minor’s information should be provided by a parent or legal guardian or by another adult authorized to arrange the minor’s travel. If I learn that personal information was provided directly by a child without appropriate authorization, I will take reasonable steps to address the situation.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to my services, website, business practices, legal requirements, or information-handling practices.
